MONASTERY CRISS-CROSSING EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS FOR CHILDREN OF PRE-SCHOOL AND YOUNGER SCHOOL AGE IN THE MONASTERY OF ST. AGNES

The diploma thesis is devoted to education and educational programs intended for the youngest visitors to the Agnes monastery i.e children of pre-school and younger school age. The thesis will be divided into two main parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part will briefly introduce the personality of Agnes of Bohemia, her life, deeds and legends, the history and construction development of the St. Agnes Monastery and its use as a refuge for the Poor Clares, Dominicans and Minorites, the burial place of the important Přemyslids and, last but not least, as one of the objects of the National Gallery. Furthermore, this part of the thesis will acquaint with the potential of educational programs as assistant with the interpretation of historical figures, monuments and works of art, briefly introduce the history of the National Gallery and outline the educational programs that are currently being implemented in the Convent of Agnes. The aim of the practical part of the diploma thesis will be to create an educational program called Monastery Criss-crossing and describe the process of creation from the idea itself through implementation to the final reflection. The bachelor thesis "Marketing and promotion of the National Gallery in Prague in 2010-2011" discusses communication options of the most famous fine art institution in the Czech Republic. The introduction explains the function of an art museum as a medium and describes particular modes of transmission of information between an artwork, exposition and audience. It briefly portrays the function of the National Gallery today and in the past, as well as the services offered. The main part of the thesis focuses on specific characteristics of marketing of museums and galleries and these are accompanied by particular examples from the practice of the National Gallery and by statistical data. The bachelor thesis defines the product of this institution, ways in which it is offered to the public and especially means of promotion.
Analysis of Selected Programs from the Event Calendar of National Gallery in Prague with a Focus on Education of Children and Youth

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to analyze activities organized by the Education Department of National Gallery in Prague with a focus on education of children and youth. It is this very age group that represents future visitors and it is specifically needed to foster their relationship with the institution and art in general. The introduction provides the reader with basic terminology and forms of schooling that the museum education is invested in. Specific aspects of education of children and youth are described next. The practical part provides an analysis of the education program offered to schools. Formerly introduced knowledge is demonstrated on two (individually selected and visited by the author) programs. The conclusion of the thesis lays down suggestions for future development of museum-related, pedagogical activities run by the selected institution.

This thesis focuses on specifics of new Czech legislation in the field of public sector accounting and its differences from international IPSAS standards and shows basic principles of economy of public-benefit corporations on example of one of the most important cultural institution in Czech Republic - National gallery in Prague.

Museum Marketing: The National Gallery in Prague During the years 2012-2014

This paper examines marketing practices and marketing tools in the context of art related museums. The subject of this paper is the National Gallery in Prague, a significant art institution that has the ambition to build a strong museum brand of international significance. The aim of this paper is to form a a set of recommendations for the National Gallery in the field of marketing and communication. The recommendations are based upon the confrontation of the research of the ongoing trends and opportunities with the analysis of National gallery's marketing activities. This paper is divided into three parts. Firstly, it defines the theoretical framework and the key terms such as museum marketing, strategic marketing, visitors profile, marketing and communication mix. Secondly, it describes trends and opportunities in the field of museum marketing. Finally, it analyzes activities of the National Gallery and puts forward recommendations for improvement of the current marketing processes.
Jaromír Neumann: The connoisseur of Venetian painting

The work is dedicated to the personality Jaromír Neumann as an expert of Venetian painting in our country, whose approach is documented on a number of paintings from several institutions, which autorship determinated. Specifically, the images of the Prague Castle Picture Gallery, National Gallery in Prague, Olomouc Picture Gallery and significant Titian painting of Kroměříž Picture Gallery, which concentrated his interest for a long time. These are the works of painter's family Bassano, Paolo Veronese, Jacopo and Domenico Tintoretto, Bonifazio Veronese, Rocco Marconi, Pordenone and Titian. More generally, the work deals with issues of connoisseurship and restoration, but is not the purpose of extensive analysis, the more necessary as outlined in the context of the theme of the work. The result should be the definition and specification process of Neumann's autorship determination and the pursuit of affect key points that form its determination.
Library of voyager Joe Hloucha

This bachelor's thesis deals with the personal library of the Czech voyager, collector and writer Joe Hloucha. The aim is to find out information about the library and describe localized fragment of Hloucha's library. The introduction presents the key terms of the thesis. Second part discusses biography of Joe Hloucha including his collecting activities. The third chapter deals with Hloucha's writing career. The fourth chapter describes the process of searching for books from his personal library. The fifth chapter is devoted to description of founded copies from his personal library. In conclusion the thesis summarizes obtained findings and sumps up the current state of the books from Hloucha's property.
